The Arts and Science Center hosts free literacy event for kids with reading, singing, and dancing

The Arts and Science Center hosts a free interactive literacy class for children in Pine Bluff

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Children ages 3-6 are invited to join in a fun and educational event, “Come Read, Sing, Dance, and Play with Me!” with Melanie Madkin. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, located at 701 S. Main St. in Pine Bluff.

Encouraging a Love for Literacy

This engaging class, led by Melanie Madkin of Ms. Madkin’s Literacy Program, is designed to foster a love for literacy in young children. Through reading, singing, dancing, and playful activities, Madkin creates a quiet and nurturing environment where children can explore the joys of the written word. The event is part of her ongoing efforts to encourage early literacy development in a fun and supportive setting.

The event is free of charge, but registration is requested to ensure that all participants can be accommodated. Parents and guardians can register their children by visiting artx3.org/all-events/come-read-sept-2024 or by calling 870-536-3375.

For additional information about the event, please contact Bethany Gere at [email protected]. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to help your child discover the magical world of reading and literacy.
