The Arts & Science Center hosts a free literacy event for children aged 3-6 this October

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Join Melanie Madkin at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas for a delightful session aimed at young children, titled “Come Read, Sing, Dance, and Play with Me!” This event is scheduled for Saturday, October 12, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the center located at 701 S. Main St. in Pine Bluff. It’s a special opportunity tailored for children aged 3 to 6 to dive into the magical world of literacy through interactive and engaging activities.

Melanie Madkin, renowned for her commitment to early childhood education through Ms. Madkin’s Literacy Program, leads the event. Her approach is designed to nurture a love for reading and writing in a calm and supportive setting, making learning fun and accessible for the youngest of participants. The session includes an hour of reading, singing, dancing, and playing, providing a holistic experience that stimulates early learning and development.

The event is free of charge, but parents are encouraged to register their children in advance to ensure a spot. Registration can be completed online at artx3.org/all-events/come-read-oct-2024 or by calling 870-536-3375. For additional details or inquiries, Bethany Gere can be contacted directly at [email protected] or the same phone number.

This initiative not only supports early literacy but also fosters social interaction among children, making it a perfect weekend activity for families looking to enrich their child’s learning outside the classroom. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to enhance your child’s literacy skills while enjoying a fun and interactive morning at The Arts & Science Center.
