The Arts and Science Center hosts a free interactive literacy class for children in Pine Bluff

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Parents looking to spark a love for reading and writing in their little ones have a perfect opportunity with Ms. Madkin’s Literacy Class. Designed for children ages 3 to 6, this interactive and engaging session is set to take place on Saturday, March 8, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, located at 701 S. Main St. in Pine Bluff.

Encouraging a Love for Reading and Writing

Led by Melanie Madkin, founder of Ms. Madkin’s Literacy Program, this class is designed to spark a lifelong passion for reading and writing in young children. With a blend of storytelling, songs, dancing, and hands-on activities, participants will be immersed in a nurturing and engaging environment that makes literacy fun.

How to Register for This Free Program

Although the program is completely free, registration is required. Parents or guardians must register their child by March 4 at artx3.org/all-events/literacy-march-2025 or call 870-536-3375.
