Missing 12-year-old found safe after daylong search in Pine Bluff

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The Pine Bluff Police Department has shared positive news following an urgent search for a missing child. Jasmine Jennings, a 12-year-old girl who had been reported missing on May 1, 2025, has been found safe. Authorities confirmed her recovery and expressed deep gratitude to everyone who played a part in the effort.

“The Pine Bluff Police Department is pleased to report that 12-year-old Jasmine Jennings has been safely located,” officials announced in their update. Relief swept through the community as the good news was shared widely after hours of worry.

The police thanked the public for their swift response and widespread assistance. “We want to extend our sincere gratitude to the community, media outlets, and everyone who shared the alert and provided information. Your swift actions and continued support played a crucial role in bringing Jasmine home safely.” Officials further added, “Thank you for standing with us in protecting our most vulnerable.”

Original Alert Sparked Urgent Search Efforts

Earlier that day, authorities had issued a Missing Person Alert after Jasmine disappeared from her home at 3804 Scenic Drive, Pine Bluff. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and black slides and was believed to be traveling on foot.

Described as standing 4 feet tall, weighing 89 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, Jasmine was considered at particular risk. Officials had noted that she was mentally challenged and might “not respond appropriately to her surroundings,” raising urgent concerns for her safety and well-being.

Law enforcement quickly asked the public for assistance and released a tip line. Anyone with information was urged to contact the detective office tip line at 870-730-2106 or the dispatch center at 870-541-5300.

Fortunately, thanks to the combined efforts of the police, the media, and countless community members, Jasmine was located safely and returned home.
