Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Parents and caregivers of young children are encouraged to bring their little ones to an engaging and educational event designed specifically for early learners. “Ms. Madkin’s Literacy Class: Come Read, Sing, Dance, and Play with Me!” will take place from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, located at 701 S. Main St.

The event welcomes children between the ages of 3 and 6 to explore reading and writing through music, storytelling, movement, and creative play. The class is led by Melanie Madkin of Ms. Madkin’s Literacy Program, whose goal is to “foster a love of the wonderful world of literacy in a quiet and nurturing environment.” Ms. Madkin’s approach emphasizes gentle guidance and joyful participation to help children build positive connections with books and language.
