Pine Bluff families invited to enjoy a free afternoon of hands-on STEAM learning and creativity at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – the ARTx3 Campus in Pine Bluff is gearing up to host Tinkerfest: STEAM Carnival on Saturday, September 13, from 1 to 3 p.m. at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, located at 701 S. Main St. The event is free and open to the public, and all ages are welcome to join in on an afternoon packed with exploration and creativity.

A Celebration of Science and Creativity

This year’s Tinkerfest is being promoted as “an immersive, hands-on celebration of creativity, innovation, and discovery designed for learners of all ages.” Unlike a typical science fair or classroom demonstration, the event promises an experience that blends the excitement of a carnival with the curiosity-driven spirit of tinkering.

Through a range of interactive exhibits and playful experimentation, children, families, students, and educators will get the chance to explore concepts rooted in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). Organizers aim to encourage open-ended learning that emphasizes imagination, curiosity, and collaboration.

Whether it’s building simple machines, playing with circuits, or experimenting with creative materials, Tinkerfest is expected to spark interest and wonder in young minds and offer exciting, engaging ways to connect with STEAM concepts.

Community Support and Contact Information

The event is made possible thanks to generous sponsorships from the Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation and McFarland Eye Care.

For those looking for more information or with questions about participation, Shakeelah Rahmaan, programs director at the Arts & Science Center, can be reached at [email protected] or 870-536-3375. Additional event details can be found online at: artx3.org/all-events/family-funday-sept-2025-tinkerfest.

With no cost to attend, this event offers a great opportunity for Pine Bluff families to come together for learning, exploration, and fun — all in the name of STEAM.
