Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The Pine Bluff Police Department is actively searching for Thomaz Johnson, a suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Jimmie Epperson. The incident occurred at approximately 9:05 p.m. on September 23, 2025, at 615 South Missouri Street.
Police responded to a call reporting a shooting at the location. When officers arrived, they discovered a male victim lying unresponsive on the ground. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Teddy Spivey.
Johnson, who is 25 years old, is described as a Black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing around 160 pounds. His last known address is 2317 Belair Drive. Authorities have offered a $1,500 reward for information that leads to his arrest.

As part of the investigation, police also arrested Johnson’s mother, Sparkle Bankston, on September 24. She has been charged with hindering apprehension related to the homicide.
