Viola man wins seventy five thousand dollars on scratch off while Bella Vista player lands fifty thousand Powerball prize

Three lucky players claim major Arkansas Scholarship Lottery prizes after surprise wins with instant scratch-off games

Bella Vista, Arkansas – As 2025 comes to a close, lottery players in Arkansas are racking up big wins—both from scratch-off tickets and multi-state draw games. Just days before Christmas, two lucky Arkansans took home major prizes, and more winnings could be on the horizon with the Powerball jackpot now reaching a staggering $1.7 billion.

Viola Man Wins $75,000 on a Whim

R. Moore of Viola is celebrating a $75,000 win after purchasing a Loteria scratch-off ticket on a whim. According to lottery officials, Moore stopped at 24 Hour Fuel #1011, located at 9916 Highway 62 W. in Viola, to pick up something for his girlfriend. While inside the store, he noticed the Loteria tickets and decided to give it another try, having previously won small amounts on the game.

Once home, Moore scratched the ticket and revealed the game’s top prize of $75,000.

“No way,” Moore thought.

Overwhelmed, he quickly showed the ticket to his girlfriend and a friend. The three began analyzing the card closely to confirm what they were seeing.

“We were getting magnifying glasses out,” Moore’s girlfriend laughed, while his friend added that they took pictures so they could zoom in and double-check the details.

Still in disbelief, Moore and his companions headed to the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center the next morning to redeem the prize.

“I’m still in shock,” Moore said. “I haven’t been to sleep yet.”

Powerball Keeps Delivering in Arkansas

The state’s lottery streak continued the same day with a $50,000 Powerball win in Bella Vista. The winning ticket for the December 22 drawing was sold at Casey’s General Store #3264, located at 2 Riordan Road.

The ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers and the red Powerball. The winning numbers were 3, 18, 36, 41, 54, and the Powerball was 7. The Power Play multiplier was 2. The winner is one of 107 players nationwide to win the $50,000 prize in that drawing.

Just two days prior, another lucky player in Pine Bluff won $150,000 on a Powerball ticket from the December 20 drawing. That prize remains unclaimed, and the winner has 180 days from the draw date to come forward.
