Two Arkansas lottery players win $1 million and $200,000 on scratch-off games

Benton, Arkansas – Two Arkansas residents recently walked away with life-changing prizes after trying their luck with instant scratch-off games. The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery confirmed that the two winning tickets were claimed on the same day, bringing excitement and celebration to communities in Benton and Mountain View.

Both winners visited the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on March 3 to officially claim their prizes after discovering their tickets held top awards.

Benton Player Wins $1 Million Prize

One of the big winners is a Benton resident who chose to remain anonymous after she scratched off a ticket that revealed a stunning $1 million top prize on the Instant Million scratch-off game.

The lucky winner purchased her ticket during a routine visit to a local gas station. According to lottery officials, the winning ticket was bought at Circle K Store 2709986, located at 11580 Highway 70 in Benton.

The woman, who described herself as a weekly lottery player, said she did not have a specific plan when she picked out the ticket. Instead, the $20 scratch-off simply caught her attention while she was at the store.

That quick decision turned out to be incredibly fortunate. After scratching the ticket, the Benton resident realized she had uncovered one of the three $1 million top prizes available in the Instant Million game.

Still stunned by the discovery, the woman shared the news with her husband. At first, the moment felt almost too good to be real. Her husband decided to take the ticket to two different lottery retailers to double-check the result before they could fully believe it.

Once the prize was confirmed, the excitement quickly set in. The winner said she is already thinking about how she will use the money. Among her plans are purchasing a new truck and a camper, something that will allow the family to travel and enjoy their time together.

Lottery officials noted that two $1 million top prizes still remain in the Instant Million scratch-off game.

Mountain View Player Wins $200,000 Prize

Another Arkansas player also experienced an unforgettable moment when he uncovered a large prize on a different instant game.

Junious Gammill of Mountain View claimed a $200,000 top prize after playing the $200,000 Platinum scratch-off game. His winning ticket was sold at Casey’s 4532, located at 312 Sylamore Avenue in Mountain View.

Gammill described himself as only an occasional lottery player. On the day of the win, he had just left work and stopped at the store during his lunch break. While there, he decided to purchase a few tickets.

After buying the $200,000 Platinum ticket, Gammill stayed inside the store and scratched it immediately. As he worked his way across the ticket, the excitement built. When he reached the last row, he discovered the incredible result — a $200,000 top prize.

Overcome with excitement, Gammill immediately called his wife to share the news. At first, she struggled to believe what she was hearing. For Gammill, the moment quickly turned emotional as he thought about what the money would mean for his loved ones.

I know my family will be taken care of,” Gammill told lottery officials.

The prize will help the family in meaningful ways. One of Gammill’s first plans is to purchase a new wheelchair for his son, ensuring he has the support he needs. He also intends to save a portion of the winnings for the future.

Lottery officials said that one $200,000 top prize still remains in the $200,000 Platinum scratch-off game, leaving the door open for another Arkansas player to experience the same life-changing moment.
