Arkansas Lottery excitement builds as instant game player hits jackpot and NSJ prize waits for its winner

Mississippi County man wins $200,000 on scratch-off ticket purchased in Bassett

Jonesboro, Arkansas – Two major lottery wins have sparked celebration in Arkansas this week, with one jackpot still waiting to be claimed and another causing immediate excitement in a Centerville convenience store.

$80,000 Natural State Jackpot Ticket Remains Unclaimed

A winning ticket for the April 13 Natural State Jackpot (NSJ) drawing was sold in Jonesboro, with a prize worth $80,000 up for grabs. The ticket was purchased at Murphy USA 8523, located at 1601 Stadium Blvd. The winning numbers for that drawing were 5, 12, 21, 27, and 33.

As of now, the prize remains unclaimed. The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) reminds players that winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. Lottery officials encourage anyone who bought a ticket for the April 13 NSJ draw to double-check their numbers and keep their ticket safe.

Centerville Man Scores $50,000 on Instant Game

Another big win came just one day later when Bob Sharp, a resident of Centerville, claimed $50,000 from the $50,000 Frenzy instant scratch-off game. Bob, a frequent lottery player, bought his winning ticket at Centerville Country Store, located at 21892 Highway 154.

Inspired by a friend who had also recently won the top prize on the same game, Bob decided to try his luck.

“Might as well try it,” Bob said, recalling the moment he bought the ticket.

While still inside the store, Bob began scratching the ticket and uncovered a “20X” symbol, initially thinking he’d won just $20. But the surprise didn’t end there. After realizing he had won at least $20,000, he stopped scratching and asked the store clerk to scan the ticket.

“It blew my mind right then,” Bob told lottery officials. “It almost didn’t seem right!”

His curiosity got the better of him, and he scratched off the rest of the ticket, revealing a second 20X symbol and a $10,000 prize — bringing his total to $50,000, the game’s top prize.

“I was so excited everybody knew it,” Bob said, laughing. His wife, boss, and others in the store were the first to hear the good news. Bob noted that his biggest prize before this was only $500, making the win especially meaningful. “There’s a big difference between $500 and $50,000,” he added with a smile.

There are still 56 top prizes of $50,000 left in the $50,000 Frenzy instant game, according to the ASL. Players interested in learning more about lottery games or checking ticket details can visit MyArkansasLottery.com for the latest updates and information.
