Arkansas lottery player who once doubted he would ever hit a big prize wins $1 million after routine ticket purchase in Stuttgart

Arkansas lottery players prepare for exciting Saturday night drawings as Powerball jackpot reaches $856 million while LOTTO prize climbs above $2.1 million

Stuttgart, Arkansas – A routine lottery habit turned into a life-changing moment for a player in Arkansas County after a $20 ticket delivered a prize far beyond anything he had ever experienced before. Rodrigo C., a regular participant in instant games through the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, claimed a $1 million top prize after purchasing a ticket from a local store in Stuttgart.

The winning ticket came from RP Fuel LLC, located at 100 E. Michigan Street. Rodrigo bought the $20 ticket as part of his usual routine, not expecting anything unusual. Over time, he had played consistently but had never seen a win larger than $500. That history had begun to shake his confidence, leaving him unsure if a major prize would ever come his way.

A moment of doubt turns into disbelief

Just before the life-changing moment, a friend offered him simple encouragement, saying, “Today could be your day.” Those words stayed with Rodrigo as he returned home and began scratching the ticket in his kitchen while eating. What followed was something he could hardly process.

The ticket revealed a $1 million top prize, a result that left him stunned. “It was hard to believe,” Rodrigo said. “I thought I was dreaming.” He sat there staring at the ticket for about five minutes, trying to understand what had just happened. The disbelief did not fade quickly, but excitement soon took over, and he rushed to share the news with his children.

Rodrigo officially claimed his prize on April 23 at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center. Despite the sudden windfall, he has already made clear plans for the money. He intends to invest a portion of his winnings and use the rest to support his family. At the same time, he says he will continue playing lottery games, not out of expectation, but simply for enjoyment.

The $1,000,000 Jackpot game still holds one remaining top prize, meaning another player could soon experience a similar outcome.

Recent wins across the state highlight a streak of luck for other participants as well. Earlier in the month, two more players claimed top prizes from instant games. One $250,000 prize came from a ticket called 100X, which was sold at Cantrell Conoco Phillips in Little Rock. Another winner secured $200,000 through the Triple Cash Payout game, with that ticket sold at Wa Wa Mart, also in Little Rock.
