North Little Rock, Arkansas – North Little Rock Police have arrested Nathan Whitmore in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred outside the Rose City Shopping Center.
Late Wednesday night, a tragic event unfolded at the Rose City Shopping Center, located at 4109 E. Broadway. Around 11:41 p.m., a man approached police officers, claiming he had been robbed at gunpoint outside the shopping center. Officers responded to the call and found Nathan Whitmore, a 22-year-old resident of North Little Rock, who fit the victim’s description when they arrived at the scene.
While some officers were engaged with Whitmore, others discovered a man in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
As of Thursday, the authorities had not disclosed the deceased’s identity.
Whitmore is now facing serious charges, including capital murder, attempted capital murder, and aggravated robbery. He was detained in the Pulaski County jail without bond following the incident. This arrest marks a swift response by the North Little Rock Police to a grave situation, demonstrating their commitment to public safety and swift justice.
