ARTx3 Campus hosting free Saturday Family FunDay featuring Lion King Jr.-themed art activity

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The ARTx3 Campus in Pine Bluff is set to host another engaging activity for families and young artists during its upcoming Saturday Family FunDay event.

The ARTx3 Campus welcomes children, parents, and community members of all ages to take part in a hands-on art activity inspired by the beloved stage production The Lion King Jr.” Participants will have the chance to design and craft their own themed keychains while enjoying a welcoming and creative environment.

Families Invited to Creative Art Activity

The Saturday Family FunDay will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, inside the Kline Family Foundation Event Gallery at The ARTSpace on Main, located at 623 S. Main St. in Pine Bluff.

During the event, attendees will join Emily Jackson, who will guide families through the process of creating custom keychains inspired by the ARTx3 Campus musical production. The activity encourages imagination and hands-on fun while giving participants something special to take home.

Organizers describe the activity as an opportunity for families to enjoy art together while celebrating the theater program currently taking place at the campus.

The monthly Family FunDay program is designed to give the community a welcoming place where children and adults can explore art in a relaxed setting. These gatherings often feature different creative projects that change each month, helping families return again and again for new experiences.

Organizers also emphasize that the event is free and open to the public. All art materials needed for the keychain activity will be provided at no cost, making it easy for families to simply arrive and participate.

Support for the monthly program comes from local sponsors who help make the event possible. The Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation and McFarland Eye Care sponsor the Saturday Family FunDay events, allowing ARTx3 to continue offering these creative opportunities for the public.

Community members who want to learn more about the activity or future events can contact Bethany Gere, the theater and programs coordinator for ARTx3. She can be reached by email at bgere@artx3.org or by phone at 870-536-3375.

You can also find additional information about the event and other upcoming programs on the ARTx3 website at artx3.org/all-events/family-funday-march-2026.
