ARTx3 Campus invites Pine Bluff residents to a free sketching session with artist-in-residence Tanya Hollifield

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Pine Bluff’s ARTx3 Campus is set to host a unique artistic opportunity with Tanya Hollifield, a Little Rock-based artist renowned for integrating art and activism in her projects. Hollifield will lead a free sketching session on Thursday, December 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Adam B. Robinson Jr. Black Box Theater, located at 627 S. Main Street.

Engaging in Creativity

Community members of all skill levels are invited to join this interactive session, whether they prefer to draw or simply observe. The workshop will feature two models dressed in striking fashion outfits, providing participants with vibrant subjects to sketch. Hollifield will guide attendees through the session, offering tips and techniques to enhance their artistic expression. A social break will also be included, allowing participants to connect with fellow art enthusiasts.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own art supplies for the event. Registration is required and can be completed online at ARTx3’s event page or by calling (870) 536-3375.

Hollifield: A Voice for Art and Advocacy

Tanya Hollifield is serving as ARTx3 Campus’ artist-in-residence for December, a role that includes not only this drawing session but also open studio hours for visitors to observe her creative process. Her artistic career has been defined by projects that marry creativity with activism. Notable works include her contributions to the 7th Street murals in collaboration with the Arkansas Coalition for Peace and Justice, the Prison Portrait Project with Compassion Works for All, and a mural with a functional water bottle feature developed with the U.S. Water Alliance and Central Arkansas Water to raise awareness about water issues.
