Batesville resident wins $50,000 playing the lottery after taking a chance on a new game

Memorial Day weekend brings major luck as Arkansas players claim over $100,000 in prizes

Batesville, Arkansas – A regular stop at a gas station turned into a life-changing moment for one lucky Arkansas resident. Janice M. from Batesville won $50,000 playing the $50,000 Frenzy instant game. She purchased the winning ticket at Casey’s General Store #3647, located at 1701 Harrison St. in Batesville, and officially claimed her prize on February 21.

Janice is no stranger to lottery games, playing a few times a week and typically choosing $10 or $20 tickets. This time, something about the $50,000 Frenzy ticket stood out, prompting her to take a chance on the $20 instant game. She scratched off the ticket in her car, unaware that she was moments away from a shocking discovery.

A Second Big Win Leaves Janice Stunned

As soon as she revealed the winning numbers, Janice was overcome with disbelief.

“I couldn’t believe it,” she said. “I thought, ‘Is this real?’”

To confirm her win, she took the ticket to the store clerk, who verified that she had indeed landed the game’s $50,000 top prize.

Her daughter, who accompanied her to claim the prize, initially thought Janice was joking when she shared the news.

“I thought she was joking—then she showed me the ticket!” her daughter said.

Janice’s surprise was even greater considering her past luck. Just last year, she won $5,000 from the lottery but never expected to land an even bigger prize.

Plans for the Winnings and More Chances to Win

With her newfound prize money, Janice plans to pay off bills and enjoy the relief that comes with such a significant financial boost.

For other hopeful players, the excitement isn’t over yet. Seventy top prizes worth $50,000 remain on the $50,000 Frenzy instant game, leaving plenty of chances for more winners across Arkansas.
