Big lottery wins for Arkansas players in recent Powerball and Mega Millions drawings

Arkansas lottery announces major NSJ win and first significant Millionaire for Life prize

Little Rock, Arkansas – Two fortunate Arkansans won significant prizes in Powerball and Mega Millions drawings. As the holiday season approaches, these wins have certainly brought some early celebrations to the lucky participants.

Powerball Payout

In a thrilling development, a Powerball ticket purchased through the Jackpocket.com app for the December 7th drawing won a staggering $100,000. The lucky numbers were 1, 31, 43, 55, and 57, with 22 as the Powerball number. The ticket holder took advantage of the Power Play option, which doubled their prize from the initial $50,000 to $100,000 after matching four out of the five winning numbers and the Powerball number. This ticket made the winner one of only six people across the nation to secure this prize level in the recent draw. The next Powerball jackpot is now set at $20 million, continuing to offer hopeful players a shot at life-changing sums.

The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, collaborating with retailers like Jackpocket.com, facilitates convenient, on-the-go lottery participation, enriching the playing experience for Arkansans.

Mega Millions

Not to be overshadowed, another Arkansan won $10,000 in the Mega Millions drawing on December 6th. This winning ticket was sold at the Bauxite Food Mart located at 17000 W. Sardis Road in Bauxite. The winning combination for this draw was 16, 21, 33, 39, and 45, with a Mega Ball number of 24. Similar to the Powerball winner, this prize remains unclaimed. Winners are reminded they have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prizes.

The excitement around Mega Millions continues to build as the jackpot for the upcoming draw has reached an astounding $619 million. This marks only the tenth time in the game’s history that the jackpot has crossed the $600 million threshold. The last colossal Mega Millions jackpot, amounting to $810 million, was claimed on September 10 earlier this year.

For those looking to try their luck, Powerball and Mega Millions tickets can be purchased from licensed retailers across Arkansas or through ASL’s Play on the Go partner apps.
