North Little Rock, Arkansas – Drivers in North Little Rock should prepare for a full closure of Broadway Street (Highway 70) under Interstate 30 between Locust Street and Cypress Street, beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, January 16, and lasting through 6 a.m. Sunday, January 18, weather permitting.
Detours and Access Routes Announced
The around-the-clock closure is necessary so that crews can safely carry out pavement repairs along this busy stretch of roadway. A signed detour will be in place to guide traffic in both directions.
-
Eastbound drivers will be rerouted to Cypress Street south to Riverfront Drive east, returning to Broadway Street.
-
Westbound drivers will take Locust Street north to Bishop Lindsey Avenue west, then Cypress Street south back to Broadway.
Despite the closure, access will remain open to key ramps:
-
The I-30 westbound on-ramp at Broadway Street
-
The I-30 eastbound on-ramp at Bishop Lindsey Avenue
Motorists can expect to see construction barrels, barricades, and signs posted throughout the area to notify and direct drivers accordingly. Travelers are encouraged to use caution in the area and plan extra time if driving near the work zone.
