City of Little Rock to host Workforce Development Summit at The Centre at University Park

Mayor Scott pushes for sales tax increase to fund Little Rock projects

Little Rock, Arkansas – Little Rock is gearing up to spotlight the potential for its workers and investors this coming Friday. The city will be hosting a Workforce Development Summit at The Centre at University Park, located at 6401 W. 12th St. The event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., is open to all, but attendees must register in advance online.

The summit’s main focus, as outlined in its agenda, is to discuss both the challenges and opportunities in the workforce today, as well as what might be anticipated in the future. Attendees can expect to hear from Mike Rogers, the Chief Workforce Officer for Arkansas, who is scheduled to deliver the keynote address.

Organizers emphasize that the summit is an embodiment of Mayor Frank Scott Jr’s commitment. He has consistently voiced his dedication to nurturing collaboration between public and private sectors, as well as academic entities. This collaboration aims to ensure that workers in Little Rock have access to the essential knowledge and resources necessary for successful job placements.
