Community invited to a free sculpting workshop led by artist Angi Cooper in Pine Bluff

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The ARTx3 Campus invites the community to a free mixed-media workshop, Sculpting with Angi Cooper, taking place on Saturday, February 22, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, located at 701 S. Main St. in Pine Bluff.

Learn the Art of Nature-Inspired Sculpture

Participants in this hands-on workshop will explore the world of nature-inspired sculpting using materials such as cardboard. The session will be led by mixed-media artist Angi Cooper, who will provide step-by-step guidance on creating unique sculptures from everyday materials.

This engaging and educational event welcomes individuals of all skill levels. All supplies will be provided at no cost, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the creative process without any financial barriers. While the event is free, registration is encouraged to ensure enough materials are available for all participants.

Artist-in-Residence Bringing Creativity to the Community

Angi Cooper serves as the ARTx3 Campus’s teaching artist-in-residence for February 2025, bringing her expertise and passion for mixed-media art to Pine Bluff. Her residency and the sculpting workshop are made possible through the Arkansas Arts Council’s Arts in Education program, which supports creative initiatives that foster community engagement and learning through the arts.

Cooper’s work is known for blending everyday materials with artistic expression, making her an excellent guide for those eager to explore new artistic techniques. Her teaching style encourages experimentation and creativity, allowing participants to develop their artistic voice while learning fundamental sculpting skills.
