Eastbound on-ramps to I-440 in Little Rock to close this week for repairs

Little Rock, Arkansas – Starting Monday night, July 22, through Thursday morning, July 25, motorists in Little Rock will need to plan for overnight closures of two on-ramps to Interstate 440 (I-440). These closures, occurring from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., are part of a scheduled maintenance project to perform necessary bridge deck repairs, weather permitting.

Detours and Traffic Management

The affected on-ramps are:

  • The Interstate 30 (I-30) on-ramp to I-440 eastbound
  • The Highway 365 (Springer Boulevard) on-ramp to I-440 eastbound

To facilitate traffic flow and minimize disruptions, signed detours will guide motorists via alternative routes, including I-30, Interstate 530 (I-530), Highway 338, and Highway 365. The specific detour plans are as follows:

  1. From I-30 West: Traffic will be directed to continue onto I-530 South, take Exit 3 (Dixon Road), loop back onto I-530 North, and then transition onto the I-530 ramp leading to I-440 East.
  2. From Highway 365 North (Springer Boulevard): Motorists will turn onto Roosevelt Road, head west on I-30, and follow the detour as outlined for I-30 West to reach I-440 East.
  3. From Highway 365 South (Springer Boulevard): Traffic will proceed south on Highway 365 through Sweet Home, transitioning into Highway 338, then onto I-530 North, and finally take the I-530 ramp to I-440 East.

To ensure the safety of both the repair crews and the traveling public, traffic will be controlled using barrels, cones, signage, and electronic signals. Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to pay close attention to the detour signage as they navigate the alternate routes during these evening hours.
