Glenview Community Center to host event where kids create market-ready products for public sale

North Little Rock, Arkansas – The Glenview Community Center in North Little Rock is preparing to host an exciting showcase of youthful innovation and creativity as it welcomes the Arkansas Acton Children’s Business Fair on Saturday, April 12, 2025. This free, one-day marketplace will run from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature local businesses operated entirely by kids ages 6 to 18. The center is located at 4800 East 19th Street.

The fair will provide 40 booths where young entrepreneurs will present and sell their products to the public in a real-world marketplace setting. Each booth will be furnished with tables and chairs, and the event will also include fun features such as face painting, a live DJ, Kona Ice, and food trucks to enhance the community atmosphere.

Open Registration and Limited Booths Available

Registration is now open to youth who want to participate as vendors, with a final deadline of Friday, March 21, 2025. Only two businesses per product category will be accepted to ensure diversity of offerings. Early registration is highly encouraged to secure a spot and avoid duplicate product types such as jewelry, cookies, and similar items.

“We’re thrilled to bring the Acton Children’s Business Fair to Arkansas, continuing a legacy that started in Austin, Texas, in 2007,” said Tiara Howlett, the event’s organizer. “This event is an incredible opportunity for young people to experience the rewards and challenges of entrepreneurship while fostering a sense of responsibility and independence. It’s an environment where kids learn by doing and they love it!”

Local Sponsors Help Support Youth Entrepreneurship

This year’s fair is sponsored by Zoe’s Lemonade Stand, Beacon of Hope Youth Foundation, Acton Academy, and Acton School of Business. Additional support is being provided by local donors and volunteers who believe in the power of nurturing young business minds.

The Acton Children’s Business Fair was originally founded by Jeff and Laura Sandefer in Austin, Texas. Since 2007, it has expanded across the nation, now hosting over 1,800 fairs in 149 U.S. cities. Each fair empowers youth to take ownership of their ideas and turn them into tangible business ventures in a supportive and engaging environment.
