Governor Sanders announces new trade mission to boost Arkansas’ aerospace industry

Governor Sanders announces nearly $12 million in funding to support infrastructure and local development projects

Little Rock, Arkansas – Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has officially announced her plans for an upcoming trade mission aimed at further expanding Arkansas’ aerospace sector. This follows a highly successful trip last year to the Paris Air Show, which secured significant international investments for the state.

Building on Previous Success

In her announcement, Governor Sanders outlined the accomplishments of her previous mission, noting, “My trade mission to the Paris Air Show last year was a huge success, helping Arkansas land projects from international players like Dassault Falcon and RTX, bringing hundreds of millions of dollars in investment for our state.” These developments have bolstered Arkansas’ standing in the global aerospace market, contributing significantly to the state’s economy.

This year, the Governor plans to attend the Farnborough Air Show in the United Kingdom, where she will continue to promote Arkansas as a prime location for aerospace investment. The trip will also include meetings with key business partners in Germany, further strengthening ties with some of the most influential aerospace and defense companies worldwide.

A Focus on Growth and Investment

Governor Sanders emphasized the importance of this sector, stating, “Aerospace is Arkansas’ largest export industry and it’s getting larger every year.” Her administration has been actively working to enhance the state’s appeal to potential investors by cutting taxes, expanding the workforce, and making significant advancements in education.

The Governor expressed optimism about the upcoming mission, underscoring its potential impact: “This trip will be crucial to getting that news out to some of the largest aerospace and defense companies in the world.” With these strategic efforts, Arkansas aims to secure more investments that will drive further growth and job creation in its flourishing aerospace industry.
