Key Project Details
This construction is part of Job CA0601, a $187.3 million project under ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program. The project involves widening 5.5 miles of I-30 to three lanes in each direction, extending from the Highway 70 interchange (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). Improvements also include upgrades at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114).
The work aims to improve traffic flow and safety in one of Arkansas’s busiest transportation corridors. For more information, visit ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
Safety and Travel Advisory
To ensure the safety of drivers and workers, traffic will be controlled using message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage. Motorists are urged to exercise caution in the work zone, watch for slower traffic speeds, and follow detour signs.
Accommodations will be made for emergency vehicles to access closed ramps. However, drivers are advised to anticipate potential noise impacts in areas adjacent to the Interstate during nighttime hours.
By planning ahead and using the detours provided, travelers can navigate around these temporary closures with minimal disruption. ARDOT appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as it works to complete this significant infrastructure improvement project.
