Late night motorcycle crash in Pine Bluff claims lives of father and daughter

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – A late-night crash in Pine Bluff ended in tragedy after a motorcycle carrying a father and daughter left the roadway, resulting in both losing their lives. The incident unfolded in the early hours of March 23, 2026, prompting an immediate response from local authorities.

Officers with the Pine Bluff Police Department were called to the scene at approximately 1:00 a.m. after receiving reports of a motorcycle accident in the area of Blake Street near Miramar Drive. When emergency responders arrived, they found that the crash had involved a single motorcycle traveling southbound.

Father and daughter identified in fatal crash

According to the preliminary investigation, the motorcycle was occupied by a male driver and a female passenger when it suddenly left the roadway and crashed. The circumstances leading up to the crash have not yet been fully determined, and investigators are continuing to examine what may have caused the vehicle to veer off course.

Authorities later identified the victims as 44-year-old Joanthony Garcia and his 22-year-old daughter, Junique Garcia. Both suffered severe injuries as a result of the crash. Despite emergency response efforts, they were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Douglas McCurry confirmed both deaths at the location of the accident. Police have not released additional details regarding speed, road conditions, or other possible contributing factors, as the investigation remains ongoing. Officials are working to gather more information to better understand the sequence of events that led to the fatal incident.
