Little Rock, Arkansas – Lottery excitement is building across Arkansas as players prepare for what could be a life-changing Saturday night. Two major drawings — Powerball and LOTTO — are offering massive prizes that could transform the lives of lucky winners.

Leading the headlines is the August 30 Powerball jackpot, which has surged to an incredible $1 billion. This marks the sixth-largest jackpot in Powerball history and only the sixth time the prize has ever reached the billion-dollar mark. With anticipation rising, players across the state are rushing to get their tickets in time for the big draw.

Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m., but players must purchase their tickets by 8:59 p.m. on the night of the drawing. Each play costs $2, and to win the grand prize, participants must match all five white balls and the red Powerball.

In addition to Powerball, the Arkansas-exclusive LOTTO game will also hold a drawing Saturday night, offering a jackpot of $955,000. LOTTO drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 p.m. To win the jackpot, players need to match all six main numbers, while smaller prizes are available for matching three or more numbers, with or without the Bonus Number.

Both Powerball and LOTTO tickets can be purchased at licensed Arkansas Scholarship Lottery retailers or through Play on the Go partners using approved retailer apps. As Arkansas players dream of hitting it big, one thing is certain — this weekend’s drawings promise to bring thrilling suspense and possibly historic winnings to the Natural State.
