Little Rock, Arkansas – The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center was buzzing with excitement after Memorial Day weekend, as more than 40 Cash 4 players from across the state rushed in to claim their winnings from the May 24 afternoon drawing.
The winning combination — 5, 5, 5, and 5 — proved to be exceptionally lucky for dozens of Arkansans. At least 20 winners hit the $5,000 top prize, while several others secured substantial payouts as well. One particularly fortunate player who purchased five $1 tickets featuring the same winning number walked away with a total of $25,000. Another winner claimed $10,000, doubling the top prize by playing strategically.
“It’s always exciting to see the Claim Center overflowing with winners,” said ASL Executive Director Sharon Strong. “Especially for games like Cash 4, where players could spend 50 cents or $1 and still win thousands in prizes.”
Over the course of May 27 and 28, Cash 4 winners claimed more than $100,000 in total prizes, adding to the celebratory energy at the ASL offices. Strong also emphasized the variety of opportunities for Arkansans to win: “From scratch-offs to Fast Play games, we’re proud to offer Arkansans several ways to play and win.”
About Cash 4 and How It Works
Cash 4 is an Arkansas-exclusive four-digit game where players choose any four numbers between 0 and 9. They can place either a 50-cent or $1 wager and choose one of four play types: straight, box, straight/box, or combo. The potential payout depends on the amount wagered and the play type selected, with the maximum possible win being $5,000.
Drawings are held twice daily — at 12:59 p.m. from Monday through Saturday, and 6:59 p.m. from Monday through Sunday. Ticket sales close four minutes before each drawing, giving players several chances throughout the week to strike it big.
With over 40 winners in just one drawing, May 24 proved to be one of the luckiest afternoons yet for Arkansas lottery players.
