North Little Rock Parks and Recreation to host “Family Day of Play” at Rose City Community Center

North Little Rock, Arkansas – North Little Rock Parks and Recreation (NLRPR) is set to host a vibrant “Family Day of Play” on Saturday, October 5th, inviting families to engage in a day filled with fun, art, and community activities. This event will take place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Rose City Community Center, located at 400 Rose Lane, NLR 72117.

The day promises a variety of activities suitable for all ages, making it the perfect opportunity for families to bond and create lasting memories. Attendees can look forward to an array of team games and individual challenges, including kickball, basketball, dodgeball, and family relay races. For those who enjoy more creative pursuits, there will be Lego Build Off competitions and Balloon Splash Paint Art sessions.

Additionally, the event will feature line dancing sessions to get everyone moving and a unique “Make & Take” healthy snack station, which will allow children and parents to engage in preparing nutritious treats together. Sensory play stations and slime stations will provide younger children with fun, tactile experiences.

Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy jumbo games set up for extra-large fun, and for a moment of calm amid the excitement, there will be yoga sessions suitable for both beginners and experienced yogis. To cater to all tastes and keep everyone energized throughout the day, food trucks will be on-site offering a variety of delicious options.
