North Little Rock, Arkansas – The North Little Rock Police Department (NLRPD) announced a significant breakthrough in a homicide case from early September. On Monday, officials arrested 44-year-old Ryan Cohens of Little Rock in connection with the death of 42-year-old Cassandra Lusk.

On September 10, at approximately 2:16 p.m., officers responded to a distress call from the Overbrook Apartments on John F. Kennedy Boulevard. The reason for the call was alarming – a potential dead person in one of the apartment units. “When officers arrived, they said they found Lusk dead inside an apartment,” the officials stated. Upon inspection, the police observed “significant trauma to Lusk’s body” and subsequently declared her death as a homicide.
In the weeks that followed, detectives diligently pursued leads, culminating in the identification of Cohens as a prime suspect. A warrant for his arrest was swiftly executed on Monday. Interestingly, at the time of his arrest, Cohens was already in custody at the Pulaski County Detention Facility due to other unrelated charges. He now faces the serious charge of capital murder, with his initial court appearance slated for Tuesday.
While this arrest represents a significant step forward, the NLRPD emphasizes that their investigation is not concluded.
