Pine Bluff families can enjoy crafting fingerprint magnets during free Second Saturday Family FunDay

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – A special and heartwarming activity awaits families this May at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas. The ARTx3 Campus will host its popular Second Saturday Family FunDay, inviting the community for an afternoon filled with creativity and fun.

Craft Unique Gifts for Mother’s Day

On May 10, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., families are encouraged to join the event at 701 S. Main St., where they can take part in a charming hands-on activity — making fingerprint glass magnets. These personal and meaningful keepsakes are described as “Perfect for Mother’s Day or another special occasion, fingerprint glass magnets are fun, one-of-a-kind gifts. Create designs using fingerprints with ink on clear glass gems.”

The project is simple yet deeply personal, allowing participants to turn their fingerprints into decorative designs sealed under clear glass gems. This activity not only nurtures creativity but also gives attendees the chance to create a heartfelt gift that will be cherished.

Free and Open to the Public

The Second Saturday Family FunDay is a free event and welcomes all members of the public. There is no cost to join, making it an excellent option for families seeking quality time together without financial strain.

This special day is generously sponsored by the Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation and McFarland Eye Care, whose support helps ensure the event remains accessible to everyone.

For those seeking more information, Lindsey Collins, assistant director, is available to assist. She can be reached at [email protected] or by calling 870-536-3375. Additionally, details about the event can be found online at artx3.org/all-events/family-funday-may-2025.
