Pine Bluff Police Department invites families to National Night Out for an evening of community fun

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The Pine Bluff Police Department is encouraging residents to mark their calendars for National Night Out 2026, one of the department’s largest annual community outreach events aimed at bringing neighbors and law enforcement together.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Pine Bluff Convention Center. Officers say the evening is designed to strengthen relationships between police and the community while providing a welcoming atmosphere for families of all ages.

Evening will feature games food and opportunities to meet officers

According to the department, National Night Out plays an important role in community policing by building trust between residents and law enforcement. Officials believe these relationships encourage better communication, improve cooperation during investigations, and help create safer neighborhoods.

The event will offer a variety of activities and entertainment for attendees. Families can expect games, prizes, food, and opportunities to speak directly with Pine Bluff police officers in a relaxed setting. Helpful public safety information will also be available, giving residents a chance to learn more about local programs and crime prevention efforts.

The department said the celebration is about more than entertainment. It is intended to encourage teamwork between law enforcement and the public, reinforcing the idea that keeping neighborhoods safe is a shared responsibility.

People attending the event will also have the opportunity to enjoy fellowship with officers while celebrating community spirit alongside friends and neighbors.

Officials reminded visitors that a clear bag policy will be strictly enforced throughout the event to help provide a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone attending.

The Pine Bluff Police Department said it hopes residents from across the community will participate in this year’s National Night Out, emphasizing that strong relationships between citizens and officers remain one of the most effective ways to build trust, improve public safety, and create a stronger community for everyone. Additional information about the event is available by calling 730-2073.
