Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Pine Bluff police are investigating a fatal shooting after officers discovered a woman inside a residence Sunday afternoon. The case remains in its early stages as detectives work to determine what led to the deadly incident.
Woman found unresponsive inside residence
On March 1, 2026, just after 12:00 p.m., officers with the Pine Bluff Police Department responded to a 911 hang-up call at 6515 Cimarron. Concerned family members forced entry into the home after receiving no response from inside. Once inside, they discovered 40-year-old Kinyatta Ringo-Wimbly.
Ringo-Wimbly was unresponsive and had suffered apparent gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that no one else was located inside the residence at the time.
Police haven’t released suspect information at this time, as the homicide investigation is still in the early stages. Investigators are working to gather evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The victim will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the official cause and manner of death.
