Pine Bluff police investigating shooting that left two people injured and children at risk

PBPD’s VCAT arrests two individuals wanted on violent offense charges during separate enforcement operations

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Two people were injured Wednesday night during a shooting at a Pine Bluff residence while two young children were present inside the home. The Pine Bluff Police Department has launched an investigation into the attack, which took place around 9:32 p.m. on Barrow Drive.

Officers responded to an emergency call and arrived at the scene to find a man and a woman lying on the living room floor, both suffering from gunshot wounds. The woman had been shot in the foot, while the man had been hit in the upper left leg. Thankfully, two small children who were also inside the house were not physically harmed.

According to a woman who was inside the house at the time, the shooting occurred as the group was getting ready to leave. When they opened the front door, they were suddenly confronted by an unknown masked man.

The woman reported that “when the group opened the door preparing to leave, they were met by an unknown masked man” who “began firing at them, then ran away in an unknown direction.”

Police have not yet identified a suspect and continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack. At this point, no arrests have been made, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.

The Pine Bluff Police Department is asking for help from the public to solve this case. Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has any information is encouraged to call the department at (870) 541-5300 or the Detective’s Office at (870) 730-2090.
