Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Authorities in southeast Arkansas are renewing their call for public assistance as they continue investigating a homicide that has remained unresolved for more than three years. Ongoing Investigation into 2022 Fatal Shooting
The Pine Bluff Police Department is requesting the public’s help in connection with a homicide that occurred on January 7, 2022, at a residence in the 1000 block of South Linden Street in Pine Bluff.
According to investigators, officers were dispatched at approximately 9:45 p.m. to 1020 South Linden Street following reports of a shooting. When officers arrived at the residence, they discovered 42-year-old Darwin Marquis Ford inside suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Mr. Ford was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Jefferson County Coroner.
Detectives say the case remains active and ongoing, with investigators continuing to follow leads and gather evidence related to the circumstances surrounding Ford’s death. Despite the passage of time, authorities emphasize that homicide cases remain a priority and that even the smallest piece of information could help move the investigation forward.
