Pine Bluff’s favorite live music event returns with a fusion of hip-hop and soul from MCE

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The ARTx3 Campus is set to open its Live@5 season with a special performance by MCE (Music, Culture, Evolution) on Friday, February 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, located at 701 S. Main St. in Pine Bluff.

A Night of Music, Culture, and Evolution

Founded in 2008, MCE has mesmerized audiences across the country with their unique blend of gritty urban poetry and soulful melodies. Their music has been featured everywhere, from intimate coffee shops to major cultural festivals, leaving a lasting impact with their powerful lyrics and moving performances.

The group consists of three passionate artists:

  • Obafemi (Magnum) – A skilled emcee known for his rhythmic bars and beats.
  • Ced Adamz – A wordplay master with a commanding and gritty flow, bringing energy and raw emotion.
  • Eshmelek – A soul singer whose voice resonates deeply, carrying messages of love, struggle, and triumph.

MCE’s music is more than entertainment; it is a cultural movement that tackles social issues and encourages self-awareness. Through their art, they strive to inspire action and promote a better world, delivering thought-provoking messages in every verse.

Ticket Information and Event Details

Attendees can enjoy an evening of live music, refreshments, and a welcoming atmosphere. Ticket prices are:

  • $10 for ARTx3 members
  • $15 for nonmembers

Tickets will be available at the door. The event is strictly for guests aged 21 and older. Thanks to Live@5 sponsor MK Distributors, guests will also enjoy complimentary alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, as well as light snacks throughout the evening.

The Legacy of Live@5

The Live@5 concert series has long been a staple of Pine Bluff’s live music scene, bringing a variety of jazz, blues, and rock & roll performances to the community. Taking place on the first Friday of each month at 5 p.m., the event continues to provide a platform for both established and emerging artists.

With MCE opening the season, the Live@5 series is starting the year with a fusion of hip-hop and soul, offering music lovers a night of passion, rhythm, and meaning.
