Powerball excitement builds across Arkansas as jackpot climbs to $629 million

Little Rock, Arkansas – The Powerball jackpot continues to climb, now reaching a staggering $629 million for the upcoming drawing scheduled for tonight. With excitement growing across the country, Arkansas players have already seen significant wins this year.

So far in 2025, nineteen individuals in Arkansas have claimed Powerball prizes worth more than $500, and among them, seven lucky players walked away with at least $50,000 each. The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) encourages residents to try their luck as the jackpot soars to one of its largest totals in recent memory.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Players must match all six winning numbers to win the grand prize. However, those who match fewer numbers — including just the red Powerball — are still eligible for smaller cash prizes.

Tickets cost $2 per play, and sales close at 8:59 p.m. on the night of the drawing. For those looking to increase their chances of a higher payout without hitting the jackpot, an optional Power Play feature is available for an additional $1. This multiplier can increase non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, 5, or even 10 times, with potential winnings reaching up to $2 million.

Arkansans can purchase Powerball tickets at licensed lottery retailers or through the apps of Play on the Go partners listed on the ASL website. The convenient mobile options have made playing even easier for those on the move.
