Students in Little Rock celebrate National School Choice Week

Little Rock, Arkansas – The Statehouse Convention Center will host a celebration of National School Choice Week.

From 11 a.m. to noon, schools all throughout the state will rally in support of school choice as they celebrate K–12 education.

According to a press release, speakers will discuss the importance of education and national expert Corey DeAngelis will discuss the advantages of school choice.

The next governor, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who has stated that education will be a priority for her administration, will also give a speech at the rally.

“The celebration this year will be charged by an atmosphere we’ve not seen before in Arkansas,” said Emmy Henley, managing director for The Reform Alliance. “School choice is at the forefront of conversations among state leaders and decision makers right now, and I can’t think of a better showcase than our rally to demonstrate the possibilities open to our kids when parents have options.”

This event’s organizer, the Reform Alliance, organized a comparable rally for School Choice Week 2020 that attracted close to 1,500 neighborhood residents.

This year’s festival marks a comeback after COVID-19 caused virtual and small-group celebrations the previous two years.
