The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas to host interactive literacy event for Pine Bluff kids aged 3-6

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas is extending an invitation to all young children aged 3 to 6 to participate in a fun and engaging literacy event, Come Read, Sing, Dance, and Play with Me!, led by literacy educator Melanie Madkin. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, at 701 S. Main Street in Pine Bluff.

This interactive class aims to inspire a love for literacy—both reading and writing—among young participants in a calm and nurturing environment. The program is part of Ms. Madkin’s Literacy Program, which emphasizes the importance of early literacy development through creative and enjoyable activities.

“Come Read, Sing, Dance, and Play with Me!” encourages children to explore the joys of storytelling, music, and movement while fostering their imagination and creativity. Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring their little ones to this free event for a morning filled with learning and play.

Though there is no cost to attend, registration is requested to ensure a personalized and comfortable experience for all participants. Families can register online at artx3.org/all-events/come-read-dec-2024 or call 870-536-3375.

For further information, contact Bethany Gere, public programs coordinator, at [email protected] or call 870-395-7059. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to spark your child’s love for reading in a joyful and interactive setting!
