The Arts & Science Center offers ticket discount for school supply contributions

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The Arts & Science Center is offering a special opportunity: donate to their school supply drive and receive a $5 discount on tickets for “Matilda The Musical.” This initiative not only supports the arts but also addresses the educational needs of local students.

A Call for Contributions

The school supply drive is a heartfelt effort to equip local children with the necessary tools to enhance their educational journey. Community members are encouraged to donate new school supplies which will be first distributed to children attending the Second Saturday Family FunDay on August 8. Any supplies remaining after the event will be forwarded to a local school, ensuring that the donations have a broad impact within the community.

Needed Supplies

The list of requested items includes essentials that will aid students in their academic activities:

  • #2 pencils, erasers, and pens in black, blue, and red
  • Composition books and notebooks, both college ruled and wide ruled
  • Loose-leaf notebook paper, crayons, color pencils, and pencil sharpeners
  • Markers, highlighters, and folders (2-pocket, 3-pronged)

These supplies can be dropped off during business hours at the Arts & Science Center, located at 701 S. Main St. in Pine Bluff, or at various partnering organizations listed below. The collection runs through August 8, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.

Monetary Donations

For those who prefer to contribute financially, monetary donations are also welcome. Donors can contribute online by visiting the center’s donation page, choosing an amount, and specifying that the donation is for the “School Supply Drive.” Contributions can also be made in person or by calling 870-536-3375.
