Arkansas woman wins half a million dollars playing her favorite instant game before heading to work

Beebe, Arkansas – On September 3, three lucky Arkansans claimed significant prizes at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center, marking a memorable day for these winners and their families.

Beebe Couple Celebrates $480,000 Jackpot

Stephen and Carol E., residents of Beebe, won an impressive $480,000 in the Natural State Jackpot drawing held on August 28. The couple purchased their winning Quick Pick ticket at Circle K Store #2709968 on Highway 64 W. in Beebe. The winning numbers that led to their windfall were 5, 9, 11, 16, and 20.

Carol, who regularly plays the lottery, was in the car with her husband when she decided to check her ticket online. To her surprise, she had matched all the winning numbers, securing the $480,000 jackpot.

“I looked at it about five times—I just couldn’t believe it,” Carol shared with lottery officials. Overwhelmed with excitement, the couple pulled into a parking lot to celebrate their unexpected fortune. Stephen and Carol plan to use their winnings to pay off bills, complete some home projects, and enjoy some well-deserved travel.

The Natural State Jackpot has reset to $80,000 for tonight’s drawing.

Conway Man Wins $150,000 Powerball Prize

Another winner, John R. of Conway, claimed a $150,000 prize in the September 2 Powerball® drawing. John purchased his winning ticket at Doublebees #111 on Highway 64 E. in Conway. The winning numbers were 8, 42, 46, 48, and 53, with the Powerball number 22. John’s decision to include the Power Play® multiplier proved advantageous, as his $50,000 prize was tripled to $150,000.

A sporadic lottery player, John usually buys tickets when he feels the urge, often opting for draw games like Powerball. Reflecting on his win, he said, “Oh, I was shocked,” admitting that he initially believed his winnings to be much smaller. It wasn’t until he arrived at the Claim Center that he learned he had won $150,000, far exceeding his expectations of around $1,000.

John plans to donate 10% of his winnings to charity and deposit the remainder in the bank.
