Two Arkansas lottery players win $50,000 each playing the same instant game

Persistence pays off as two Arkansas players turn smaller lottery wins into $50,000 jackpots

Plumerville, Arkansas – Luck recently smiled on two Arkansas lottery players who each won big playing the same scratch-off game, $50,000 Frenzy. Both winners claimed their impressive $50,000 prizes on the same day last week, on Monday.

Plumerville Man Hits Jackpot After Previous Small Wins

Greg Jones of Plumerville is no stranger to playing the lottery. On a routine day filled with errands, Greg decided to stop at Tobacco Corner Plus North, located at 1512 E. Harding St. in Morrilton, to try his luck again. He chose the $50,000 Frenzy scratch-off ticket, a $20 game that had already treated him well twice before with $500 prizes.

“Frenzy’s been good to me,” Greg admitted to Arkansas lottery officials after his big win.

While still parked outside the retailer, Greg scratched the ticket and could not believe what he saw. The first row revealed a top prize of $50,000. Shocked by his fortune, he immediately FaceTimed his wife to confirm what he was seeing.

“Is this what I think it is?” Greg asked during the call. His wife, equally stunned, replied, “That can’t be real!”

After confirming his prize was indeed real, Greg shared the news with a close friend who also plays the lottery. That friend was quick to celebrate the win. Greg later visited the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center to officially collect his winnings.

“I’m just so pumped,” Greg said about his win. He also shared plans to use his prize money to enjoy a well-deserved vacation.

Columbia County Resident Wins Big on a Whim

Another lucky winner, C. Jones of Columbia County, also secured a $50,000 prize playing the $50,000 Frenzy instant game. Unlike Greg, C. Jones was not a frequent lottery player and typically preferred $5 or $10 tickets. However, this time he followed his instincts and chose a $20 ticket that caught his eye.

“The $20 ticket was just calling my name,” he said after claiming his prize at the ASL Claim Center.

To his delight, that ticket brought him one of the game’s top prizes. The winning ticket was purchased at Discount Tobacco #3, located at 3214 N. West Ave. in El Dorado. While thrilled about the win, C. Jones said he plans to save his winnings. At this point, he has only shared the exciting news with his close family.

More Chances Remain

The $50,000 Frenzy game still offers opportunities for other players to win big. According to Arkansas lottery officials, fifty top prizes worth $50,000 each remain for lucky players to claim.
