Hot Springs, Arkansas – Two residents from Hot Springs struck gold in the November 29 Natural State Jackpot (NSJ) drawing, each walking away with $120,000 after splitting the $240,000 grand prize.
The winning numbers for the draw — 30, 31, 32, 33, and 34 — were nothing short of eye-catching. For long-time NSJ players Don B. and Dawn Wright, those sequential digits delivered the jackpot of their dreams.
“Quick Pick pays off,” says longtime player
Don B. wasted no time claiming his half of the prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center last week. He had purchased his lucky ticket from Grace Convenience Store at 468 W. Grand Avenue in Hot Springs. A dedicated NSJ player, Don stuck to his regular approach — letting the lottery terminal choose his numbers through Quick Pick.
“I always play Quick Picks,” Don said to lottery officials. “Quick Pick pays off.”
That method, which relies on randomly generated numbers instead of personal selections, turned out to be the key to his biggest win yet. Don was so thrilled after checking his ticket that he immediately sent a photo of it to his brother to share the exciting news.
Despite winning big, Don has no plans to stop playing anytime soon and intends to continue testing his luck with future NSJ draws.
Second winner reused past numbers for a life-changing reward
The other half of the $240,000 prize went to Dawn Wright, who purchased her ticket digitally through the Jackpocket lottery app — a method she prefers for its ease and accessibility. Dawn, a regular NSJ player, has long favored the game for its affordability and better odds compared to national draws.
Having previously won $300 on NSJ, Dawn decided to stick with the same set of numbers for the November 29 draw — a decision that paid off in a major way.
“I checked the lottery’s website and saw someone had won and noticed the winning numbers,” she recalled.
Curious and hopeful, she quickly opened her email, where a message from Jackpocket confirmed her life-changing win.
“I feel truly blessed,” Dawn said.
The first person she told was her husband, Russell, who was shocked by the incredible news. The couple now plans to celebrate with a possible summer getaway.
Both winners have demonstrated that whether you let the machine pick your numbers or choose your own, persistence and a little luck can turn a $1 ticket into a six-figure reward.
