Maumelle, Arkansas – Two lucky lottery players from Arkansas recently claimed their winnings at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center, taking home a combined total of $485,000. The winners, Keith S. from Pulaski County and Davis Smith from Dermott, experienced thrilling moments of surprise as they discovered their fortunes.
Pulaski County Man Wins $460,000 Natural State Jackpot
Keith S. became a big winner after playing the Natural State Jackpot (NSJ), taking home $460,000 from the December 22 drawing. He claimed his prize at the ASL Claim Center on January 28, weeks after unknowingly holding a jackpot-winning ticket.
Keith purchased his Quick Pick ticket at Casey’s #4680, located at 8903 White Oak Crossing in Maumelle. The winning numbers for the drawing were 16, 26, 30, 31, and 33.
As an avid lottery player, Keith plays daily and prefers in-state lottery games, believing they offer better odds. He discovered his massive win a week after the drawing while scanning his ticket at a lottery retailer. When the ticket checker displayed a special message, he knew he had won big.
“I didn’t say anything to anyone,” Keith recalled. “I went home to check my numbers on the lottery’s website.”
After confirming his win, Keith shared the life-changing news with his wife, who was fast asleep at the time.
“Did we really just win $460,000?” she asked in shock.
Keith plans to use his winnings wisely by saving for retirement, investing, and sharing with his children.
Dermott Man Wins $25,000 in LOTTO Drawing
Another fortunate Arkansas resident, Davis Smith of Dermott, won $25,000 in the January 25 LOTTO drawing and claimed his prize on January 28.
Davis purchased his Quick Pick ticket at Cash’s #4472, located at 100 Highway 65N in McGehee. The winning numbers for the drawing were 1, 4, 10, 20, 23, and 34, with a Bonus Number of 17.
A weekly LOTTO player, Davis enjoys the game’s exclusivity to Arkansas, making it a favorite among local lottery enthusiasts. His coworkers frequently joke with him about buying lottery tickets, and when his boss announced that a $25,000 LOTTO prize had been won in McGehee, Davis assumed it was another prank.
“I told him, ‘You’re getting really good at this!’” Davis recalled.
Still, curiosity led him to check his ticket. When the store clerk scanned it, Davis was informed that he needed to visit Little Rock’s ASL Claim Center.
“Sir, you are going to have to take this to Little Rock,” the clerk said.
Davis, believing his win was only $1,500, was stunned when he learned at the claim center that he had actually won LOTTO’s second-tier $25,000 prize.
With his newfound winnings, Davis plans to pay off his truck and tractor and buy his son a better vehicle.
