West Memphis, Arkansas – Alreico Wiley, a 50-year-old man from West Memphis, has been sentenced to 144 months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. United States Attorney Jonathan D. Ross announced the sentence on December 16, 2025, following a ruling by United States District Judge Lee P. Rudofsky.
Wiley pleaded guilty in April 2025 to one count of methamphetamine distribution, stemming from a two-count indictment filed in November 2023. In addition to meth, the indictment also charged him with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. As part of his sentence, Wiley will also serve three years of supervised release after completing his prison term.
The investigation into Wiley’s activities began after law enforcement received complaints that he was distributing methamphetamine from his West Memphis residence. On July 27, 2023, agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration contacted Wiley, who was already on active parole and had a search waiver in place. During a search of his home, officers found approximately 27 grams of methamphetamine in his bedroom.
Additional discoveries included a bag containing 2.5 grams of powder fentanyl and 6.6 grams of fentanyl tablets on his dresser. In the kitchen, law enforcement officers located two digital scales, often used for drug distribution. After being taken to the West Memphis Police Department, Wiley waived his Miranda rights and openly admitted to “selling methamphetamine.”
Due to Wiley’s extensive criminal history, he was classified as a career offender, resulting in an enhanced sentence. His record includes seven previous felony convictions related to controlled substances. These include three convictions for possession with intent to deliver cocaine, one for possession with intent to deliver marijuana, two convictions for the sale or delivery of cocaine, and one for the sale or delivery of marijuana.
The West Memphis Police Department led the investigation, with assistance from the Drug Enforcement Administration. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shelby Shelton.
