Pine Bluff, Arkansas – On the afternoon of September 1, 2024, a tragic accident occurred near Dollar General on Highway 65 South, resulting in severe injuries and a fatality. Around 1:31 p.m., officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of a collision involving multiple people ejected from a vehicle.
Law Enforcement Response
Upon arriving, officers found three black males lying in the roadway, all of whom had been ejected from a black pickup truck. Witnesses at the scene, who chose to remain anonymous, reported that the truck had been struck by a passenger vehicle exiting Dollar General, causing the truck to flip several times. The violent crash resulted in two of the men suffering critical injuries and being rushed to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for emergency treatment. Tragically, one male was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ongoing Investigation and Call for Information
Authorities, along with EASI Ambulance Service and the Pine Bluff Fire Department, promptly responded to provide aid. “Our hearts and prayers go out to all affected by this incident,” said officials as they extended condolences to those involved.
