Families in Pine Bluff can sign up kids for Finding Nemo Jr auditions at ARTx3 this summer

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The ARTx3 Campus at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas is calling all young talent to join the cast of Finding Nemo Jr., a lively musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar film. Auditions will take place at the Catherine M. Bellamy Theater, located at 701 S. Main St., Pine Bluff, from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 25, and 2 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 26.

Dive Into the Spotlight

Open to performers ages 7 to 17, Finding Nemo Jr. is a 60-minute musical adventure that offers kids the chance to bring familiar underwater characters to life. Directed by Bethany Gere, with musical direction by Melody Gere and choreography by Grace McKissic, the production promises plenty of fun both onstage and behind the scenes.

Performances are scheduled for September 25–28, 2025, with two additional school performances on September 24.

Those planning to audition are highly encouraged to attend a free audition prep workshop on July 22, where they can learn songs, scenes, and dance routines from the show. Interested participants can register at artx3.org/all-events/finding-nemo-jr-auditions.

What to Expect at Auditions

Sing Your Heart Out: Choose from provided songs like Nemo’s “That’s My Dad,” Marlin’s “Big Blue World,” Dory’s “Just Keep Swimming,” or the ensemble number “Big Blue World.”
