Arkansas man wins $50,000 lottery prize after purchasing the last three scratch-off tickets

Mississippi County man wins $200,000 on scratch-off ticket purchased in Bassett

Dermott, Arkansas – A routine stop for lottery tickets turned into an unforgettable moment for a Dermott resident last week. Ronnie G. walked away with a $50,000 prize after purchasing a $50,000 Frenzy instant game ticket from Jenkins Quick Chek, located at 1278 Highway 278 E. in Monticello. He claimed his winnings at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on March 7.

Ronnie, who plays the lottery regularly, doesn’t stick to a particular ticket but prefers to continue with the same game until new ones are released. When he visited the retailer that day, only three $50,000 Frenzy tickets remained in the bin. Without hesitation, he told the store clerk, “Give me all of them.”

Despite his excitement, Ronnie maintained his usual patient routine. Rather than scratching the tickets immediately, he brought them home, set them aside, cleaned his house, and made a pot of coffee before sitting down to play.

The Moment of Realization

When Ronnie finally scratched off his tickets, he was stunned to discover he had won the game’s $50,000 top prize. Even after seeing the winning numbers, he needed time to process the moment.

“I looked at it for about two days because it just wasn’t registering,” he said.

Despite his life-changing win, Ronnie has remained calm. So far, he has only shared the news with family and plans to use his prize money to pay bills.

More Prizes Still Available

The $50,000 Frenzy instant game still has 66 top prizes remaining, meaning more players have a chance to win big.
