Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The ARTx3 Campus is inviting families to celebrate creativity and community with a special Valentine-themed art event featuring a visiting artist. The upcoming Saturday Family FunDay will spotlight printmaker Jonathan Wright, who will guide participants through hands-on activities designed for all ages.
The workshop will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, at The Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, located at 701 S. Main St. Organizers say the event is meant to be welcoming, interactive, and accessible to the entire community.
Hands on art experience for families
Families and children will have the chance to create festive prints while learning techniques directly from a professional artist. Organizers describe the event as a lively and engaging experience designed to inspire creativity and curiosity.
Families and kids of all ages are invited to create their own festive prints while learning fun techniques from a professional artist. Enjoy a creative morning filled with art, community, and hands-on fun.
The workshop also connects to Wright’s upcoming exhibition, “Blaque,” which opens Thursday, Feb. 19, at ASC. Officials say tying the activity to a featured exhibition helps visitors better understand the artist’s style and creative process.
Saturday Family FunDay is a recurring monthly program at ARTx3 Campus that offers interactive arts and science experiences. Activities may include creating artwork, experimenting with science projects, or exploring performance arts such as dance, music, and theater. Sessions are led by visiting artists, local art educators, and staff, and they are designed to complement current exhibitions.
The event is free and open to the public, and all materials will be provided. The monthly program is sponsored by the Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation and McFarland Eye Care.
Organizers encourage families to attend and take advantage of the opportunity to explore art together in a fun and welcoming environment. For more information, visitors can contact programs director Shakeelah Rahmaan at [email protected] or call 870-536-3375, or visit the event webpage.
