ARTx3 Campus to host Yoga for Kids event in Pine Bluff

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The ARTx3 Campus is hosting a special Yoga in the Loft event designed specifically for children. On August 17, from 1:30 to 3 p.m., the ARTx3 Campus invites kids aged 6-18 to join a fun and educational yoga session at The ARTSpace on Main, located at 623 S. Main St. in Pine Bluff. This month’s session is themed “Yoga for Kids.”

What to Expect

The session will focus on gentle stretches, mindful breathing, and soothing meditation techniques. These activities aim to help young participants develop balance, flexibility, and mental clarity. The event is part of the ARTx3 Campus Flex Pay program, with a minimum cost of $5, though a $15 contribution is recommended.

To secure a spot, parents or guardians should register online at artx3.org/all-events/yoga-aug-2024. For any questions, Bethany Gere is available via email at [email protected] or by phone at 870-395-7059. Additionally, there are 10 free spots available this month, thanks to Yoga in the Loft sponsor Angela White Smith from eXp Realty. To claim one of these free spots, interested parties should call 870-536-3375.

Participants can use the yoga mats provided at the venue or bring their own. It is advised to wear comfortable, yoga-appropriate clothing for the session.

About the Instructor

The yoga session will be led by Florence Love, known as FloEssence. She is a Taekwondo 3rd-degree Black Belt and a certified yoga instructor. In addition to her role in teaching the monthly “Yoga in the Loft” classes at The ARTSpace on Main, Florence has also conducted “Women’s Self-Defense with FloEssence” classes at the Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas.

This special event promises to be an enriching experience for children, combining physical activity with mindfulness practices.
