Authorities warn public about armed homicide suspect on the run in Pine Bluff

Pine Bluff’s December crime report reveals mixed results but promising overall decline

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The Pine Bluff Police Department Detective Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted in connection with a recent homicide. Authorities are searching for 22-year-old Ka’ Juan Madkins, who is considered armed and dangerous.

Madkins is described as a Black male, standing 5’11” tall, with black hair and brown eyes. He is wanted for his involvement in the April 18, 2025, homicide of Asa Stewart. In addition to this case, Madkins has multiple outstanding felony warrants out of Lincoln County, including charges for Aggravated Robbery, Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree, and Aggravated Residential Burglary. Police also confirmed that Madkins is a suspect in an ongoing robbery investigation within the city of Pine Bluff.

Authorities warn the public not to approach Madkins under any circumstances. If anyone spots him or knows his whereabouts, they are urged to contact law enforcement immediately. Information can be reported by calling the Pine Bluff Police Department Detective Division at (870) 730-2090, Dispatch at (870) 541-5300, or by submitting a tip anonymously through the department’s website at www.pbpd.org.

The police stressed that quick action from the community could be crucial in locating and apprehending Madkins.
