Family of Little Rock teen who was fatally shot pleads for information

Little Rock, Arkansas – Little Rock community is coming together following the death of 16-year-old Semaje O’Neil. Semaje, a teenager from Little Rock, passed away after being shot on October 27, near Baseline and Chicot Road. The shooting, which occurred just before 5 p.m., not only claimed Semaje’s life but also left several others injured, including a young 9-year-old child.

In the wake of this devastating event, Semaje’s family is reaching out to the public, urging anyone with information to step forward. They have joined forces with Arkansas Stop the Violence and held a press conference at Fellowship Baptist Church. At this gathering, Semaje’s godmother, Corvella Crutchfield, made an impassioned plea for assistance in solving the case. She emphasized the importance of community support, stating, “If you know anything, we just ask that you come forward and provide that information. Call in, send a tip, do something, because he was loved, just like you love your kids. We love kids, and they do matter.”

The shooting has cast a somber shadow over the community, highlighting the urgent need to address and curb violence among young people in the area. The Little Rock Police Department is actively investigating the incident and seeking any leads that could bring justice to Semaje and his family. They encourage anyone with information about the shooting to contact them.

As the investigation continues, Semaje’s family and the community hold onto hope for answers and an end to such senseless tragedies.
